ALL-STAR/REP PROGRAMMING

Advanced Development Program towards competitive All-Star/Rep Soccer

All-Star/Rep Program: Click here to register for 2023-2024 Fall/Winter Season Register Now!
We often refer to this as the Advanced Development Program.  It's meant for the players who aspire to play competitive soccer at the All-Star/Rep level.

What's different between Basic and Advanced Development Program offered throughout the year?

Basic Development is really for the beginner, a player who has not played much soccer and is just learning the game.  It could be a lack of confidence with the ball, has not mastered the kick and/or even the formation of playing with other teammates.

Advanced/Academy Training is for players who we (Club) would classify as "above average House League players".  These players are willing to chase the ball without encouragement, they already have a sense for the game, they know how to pass or shoot the ball, are most often athletic etc. It's important that parents are just as committed since there are time 1-2 practices/week along with games and a greater financial commitment.  Participation cost is a little higher since they practice more often and there is much more involved in the way of coaching and management of the team.

In Summer all our competitive teams enter either the TSA (TDYSL or YDSL), CGSL/CSL and/or OSL Leagues to compete against other soccer Clubs.
In Winter most of our teams will be entering the GTISL to play on Saturday or Sunday at MPS, Central Tech, Lakeshore Collegiate, Downsview Park and Mississauga Stadium and/or other OSA sanctioned Leagues to compete against other Clubs and/or Academies.

The goal of the program is to give each player a solid foundation of soccer skills, to help each player gain knowledge of the game and to balance the desire to win with the goal of ensuring that all players are given the opportunity to play and contribute.

Note to Parents:

The Club endeavors to register and select the best players to competitive teams starting as young as U7 until U18.  Boys and Girls based on their respective age group and genre are selected to respective A, B or C teams to represent the Club to play either the district Toronto Soccer Association (TSA) League and/or promoted to play in a higher regional Central Soccer League (CSL).

Please, trust our coaching staff to create a FUN & SAFE playing environment for all players to enjoy. All coaches have gone through the accreditation process to become Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) approved coaches in each respective age group. As well, our coaches are also hired based on their solid understanding of the game and many having played at either some semi or pro-level and/or represented country at the international level.

Our Cherry Beach Soccer Club is fully sanctioned through the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) and a member of the Toronto Soccer Association (TSA) as a not-for-profit organization run by dedicated volunteers alongside paid coaches who have in-depth soccer knowledge about the beautiful game of soccer.

Since it opened in November 2012, we have been an anchor tenant at Monarch Park Stadium (MPS) with a turf field and domed in the winter months.  We fully expect that in the next few years our Club will grow to approx. 3000+ participants, making us one of the largest Clubs in Toronto.
However, we need your community support to be a success!

Our Club is comprised of youth and adult soccer players with approximately 100 recreational House League teams and a growing competitive All-Star/Rep program made up of some 30+ teams. We cater to both youth and adult programming. We also offer House League, Basic Development, Summer and PD Camps throughout the school year.

Our Philosophy
“Teach the boys & girls the soccer fundamentals!”
Join our certified and/or experienced coaching staff — for an unforgettable fun soccer experience and we will assist your son or daughter to get ready for the next competitive level whether that’s house league, rep, soccer scholarship or a career as a professional soccer player!

Competitive Player Selections
Players are selected for each upcoming season based on their level of play, commitment to the team, team positional need, financial willingness and ability to pay for this program etc. just to mention a few.  Although each coach might have a different criteria or view, most coaches would select players based on following a set guideline as indicated above. Selections are a yearly process, but players are selected for Summer in February/March and/or in Fall by September/October with a Team Player Acceptance Offer outlining all the specifics of the upcoming season. It's up to parents to decide to accept or decline the offer prior to start of season.

Cancellation Policy
The Club reserves the right to cancel programs when there are not enough registrants and/or to transfer players from team to team and/or offer alternative options such as time and/or days that might be suitable. Where this is not feasible due to such things as: lack of registrations, fields/gyms and/or coaches that are beyond the control of parents/players, a partial or full refund shall be issued.  Where a parent/player, guardian and/or other supporter becomes a danger towards the Club and its members (players, parents, coaches or other support staff) in a physical or verbal manner and/or threaten or jeopardize the good name and reputation of Club, they will be asked to leave the Club.  When there is such an occurrence of a member being asked to leave, one must remember to abide by those rules and/or the Club will be forced to contact the police to have that member removed from further participation. It's at the discretion of the Club whether a full, partial or no credit/refund will be issued.  If uniform has been provided, players who have been provided a uniform must return this supplied uniform in a good state whether there is a credit/refund or none granted so that we could accommodate other team players who need it.

Refund Policy
The Club agrees to give a full refund when such a request is received in writing with explanation for withdrawal via mail and/or email 1 month prior to the commencement of a competitive program less $25 Administration Fee for processing refund same manner as it was paid. For Winter Season (22 weeks/mid-October to mid-April) any cancellation/refund request must be made prior to September 15th. After this deadline and before the beginning of the program in question, NO refund should be issued, and it is at the Club's and its officials, discretion if any credit and/or any refund will be issued. Upon receiving a written request for refund along with reasonable explanation, Club and its officials will determine what the credit/refund will be if any. NO refunds of any amount are issued once we are beyond the halfway point of the season. Please understand that there are significant resources in play (securing fields, league fees, ordering uniforms etc.) to place a player on a competitive team roster. Insurance costs are unrecoverable and not transferable, and any practice/game sessions attended or held are not refundable. Any coaching fees paid once programming has begun, we are not expecting coaches to refund those fees as this is an unexpected loss of income for them!

Cancellation Fees will be calculated as follows:
Administrative Fee @ $25
OSA Player Insurance Fee @ $60
Practice Uniform Kit @ $50
Competitive Home & Away Uniform @ $160
Practice/Game Session Fee @ $25/session will be used as a guideline to decide if any credit/refund will be provided!

Where a uniform has been assigned, NO refund will be issued!
