Each season our Club and team coaches go through the process of identifying and/or holding open tryouts for players who want to become better soccer players and who strive to be part of a competitive team for Fun, Health, Friendship and some for Scholastic opportunities and the really committed with Professional ambitions.  Parents and players are all seeking this under the direction of FIFA certified and experienced coaches in a variety of age groups on A, B and even C teams.  Players are evaluated based on their level of commitment to attend practices, positional need and overall soccer skills to be selected to either Future All-Star (U6-U7), All-Star (U8) and/or Rep
(U8-U18) team for boys and girls.

All parents, players and coaches are guaranteed to play and practice on some of the best Turf fields ... we are known to have the best infrastructure available. Players will be expected to complete and sign a OSA Player Registration Form along with CBSC Player Acceptance Form.

How competitive players are selected to a team:    Coaches Selection Criteria

CB Future All-Star (U6-U7) born 2015-2014:
Players are certainly selected based on their performance on the field ... whether that is in House League game, Development program or in a local park, but what is most important quite often is the level of commitment from parents to bring them to at least 1 practice/week, mabye a 2nd or letting them as well play in a House League game format to implement what they have learned in practice. Club makes available a variety of practice optoins both in Winter/Summer along with the best coaches to lead them into some kind of formation, style ... undertanding of the game and ready for playing in U8 Festival Formats the following year.
Cost of Program:
Summer U7 Fees - Suggest register for HL, 1x/week Practice with experienced coaches at $ ???, TBD. based on start date.

CB All-Star (U8) born 2013:
Things become a whole more serious here, more players are trying out, we can often create A, B, C teams and the boys/girls start to play actual formal games in full Home/Away uniform vs other soccer clubs, teams in a TSA U8 Summer Festival Format.  These Festivals are held on 7-9 different occasions and may be attended by as many as 40-50 teams depending on the time of year.  They are a great spectacle all held on a Saturday between 9Am-1Pm, in a controlled Fun setting, players are all expected to be registered with Ontario Soccer, all coaches must be accredited and hosted by a few soccer Clubs in Toronto. We host ours at Monarch Park Stadium in August and they say it's the best!  Players are again expected to commit to at least 1x/week to be accepted program ... ideally 2x and when there are no games 3x. The beauty of this program is that parents can pick and choose what Festival or practices they can and want to attend. Clich here fo U8 Festival Format Information.
Cost of Program:
Summer U8 Fees - 7-9 Festival Games, 2x/week Practices, Uniform with coaches at $???  TBD. based on start date.

Rep (U9-U18) born 2012:
Players are evaluated year round, all accredited coaches are hired based on their expertise of the game and in Summer practice 3x/week and/or in Winter 2x/week. Since 2009, we have steadily been increasing in the number of competittive teams in both boys and girls divisions and our teams are getting stronger evey year. All our Summer teams enter the Toronto Soccer Association TDYSL (U9-U12) and/or YDSL (U13-U18) and our top performing teams U13+ enter the Central Soccer League (CSL). Come Winter many of our teams either enter the GTISL, District League or other leagues. Players in this age group receive more practice space, more practice time some on turf some on grass, they participate in Tournaments and sometimes receive other specialized training based on coaches feedback and directions as agreed upon by team ... coaches are given a certain amount of freedom and direction.
Friday Academy Program only run in Summer 3rd practice for all our Rep teams where players in respective age groups come together to train ... station to station during "Skills & Drills" training alongside a Track & Strenght trainging component.
Cost of Program:
Summer U9+ Fees - 12-16 Games, 2x/week Practices, 1 Academy Training & 1 Week Camp with paid coaches at $ ???  TBD.

YDSL League (U9-U12) where Clubs can decide to enter teams in T1 and/or T2 Division and although the games are properly officiated, no results are kept so that coaches, players, parents and supporters can focus on "Player Development!"

TDYSL League (U13-U18) results are important and scores are kept and one can see the intensity with teams seeking promotion to the CSL, players seeking scholarships and/or professional ambitions. Each year top 1-2 teams are promoted to the CSL to compete against the very best teams.

CSL League (U13-U18) for all the top teams that are able to finish 1st or 2nd in the YDSL, it's a great League with all the top teams from differnet regions being promoted ... some travel involved, but still a very good entry way for those teams and players who want to be the best and affordable.  Team entry fee is $700/team thus allowing Club to charge the same whether playing TSA YDSL and/or TDYSL.

OPDL Ontario Provincial Development Program - Is only granted to those clubs who have applied and have obtained the accreditation to offer this product. At this time our Club and others have decided that the accredidation process is too lengthy, team entry fee of $9000 and/or yearly player fees of $4000-$5000 is just too much for many to absorb and there are hickups with the program.

Basic Development is really for the beginner, a player who has not played much soccer and is just learning the game.  It could be a lack of confidence with the ball, has not mastered the kick and/or even the formation of playing with other teammates.

Advanced/Academy Training is for players who we (Club) would classify as "above average House League players".  These players are willing to chase the ball without encouragement, they already have a sense for the game, they know how to pass or shoot the ball, are most often athletic etc. It's important that parents are just as committed since there are time 1-2 practices/week along with games and a greater financial commitment.  Participation cost is a little higher since they practice more often and there is much more involved in the way of coaching and management of the team.
The goal of the program is to give each player a solid foundation of soccer skills, to help each player gain knowledge of the game and to balance the desire to win with the goal of ensuring that all players are given the opportunity to play and contribute.

Note to Parents:

The Club endeavors to register and select the best players to competitive teams starting as young as U7 until U18.  Boys and Girls based on their respective age group and genre are selected to respective A, B or C teams to represent the Club to play either the district Toronto Soccer Association (TSA) League and/or promoted to play in a higher regional Central Soccer League (CSL).

Please, trust our coaching staff to create a FUN & SAFE playing environment for all players to enjoy. All coaches have gone through the accreditation process to become Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) approved coaches in each respective age group. As well, our coaches are also hired based on their solid understanding of the game and many having played at either some semi or pro-level and/or represented country at the international level.

Our Cherry Beach Soccer Club is fully sanctioned through the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) and a member of the Toronto Soccer Association (TSA) as a not-for-profit organization run by dedicated volunteers alongside paid coaches who have in-depth soccer knowledge about the beautiful game of soccer.

Since it opened in November 2012, we have been an anchor tenant at Monarch Park Stadium (MPS) with a turf field and domed in the winter months.  We fully expect that in the next few years our Club will grow to approx. 3000+ participants, making us one of the largest Clubs in Toronto.
However, we need your community support to be a success!

Our Club is comprised of youth and adult soccer players with approximately 100 recreational House League teams and a growing competitive All-Star/Rep program made up of some 30+ teams. We cater to both youth and adult programming. We also offer House League, Basic Development, Summer and PD Camps throughout the school year.

Our Philosophy
“Teach the boys & girls the soccer fundamentals!”
Join our certified and/or experienced coaching staff — for an unforgettable fun soccer experience and we will assist your son or daughter to get ready for the next competitive level whether that’s house league, rep, soccer scholarship or a career as a professional soccer player!

Competitive Player Selections
Players are selected for each upcoming season based on their level of play, commitment to the team, team positional need, financial willingness and ability to pay for this program etc. just to mention a few.  Although each coach might have a different criteria or view, most coaches would select players based on following a set guideline as indicated above. Selections are a yearly process, but players are selected for Summer in February/March and/or in Fall by September/October with a Team Player Acceptance Offer outlining all the specifics of the upcoming season. It's up to parents to decide to accept or decline the offer prior to start of season.

Cancellation Policy
The Club reserves the right to cancel programs when there are not enough registrants and/or to transfer players from team to team and/or offer alternative options such as time and/or days that might be suitable. Where this is not feasible due to such things as: lack of registrations, fields/gyms and/or coaches that are beyond the control of parents/players, a partial or full refund shall be issued.  Where a parent/player, guardian and/or other supporter becomes a danger towards the Club and its members (players, parents, coaches or other support staff) in a physical or verbal manner and/or threaten or jeopardize the good name and reputation of Club, they will be asked to leave the Club.  When there is such an occurrence of a member being asked to leave, one must remember to abide by those rules and/or the Club will be forced to contact the police to have that member removed from further participation. It's at the discretion of the Club whether a full, partial or no credit/refund will be issued.  If uniform has been provided, players who have been provided a uniform must return this supplied uniform in a good state whether there is a credit/refund or none granted so that we could accommodate other team players who need it.

Refund Policy
The Club agrees to give a full refund when such a request is received in writing with explanation for withdrawal via mail and/or email 3 months prior to the commencement of a competitive program less $25 Administration Fee for processing refund same manner as it was paid. For Summer Season, any cancellation/refund request must be made prior to February 15th. After this deadline and before the beginning of the program in question, NO refund should be issued, and it is at the Club's and its officials, discretion if any credit and/or any refund will be issued. Upon receiving a written request for refund along with reasonable explanation, Club and its officials will determine what the credit/refund will be if any. NO refunds of any amount are issued once we are beyond the halfway point of the season. Please understand that there are significant resources in play (securing fields, league fees, ordering uniforms etc.) to place a player on a competitive team roster. Insurance costs are unrecoverable and not transferable, and any practice/game sessions attended or held are not refundable. Any coaching fees paid once programming has begun, we are not expecting coaches to refund those fees as this is an unexpected loss of income for them!

Cancellation Fees will be calculated as follows:
Administrative Fee @ $25
OSA Player Insurance Fee @ $60
Competitive Home & Away Uniform @ $160
Practice/Game Session Fee @ $25/session will be used as a guideline to decide if any credit/refund will be provided!

Where a uniform has been provided, NO refund will be issued!

Under normal circumstances, we will apply the above policies, however during unforeseen event such as a "pandemic situation" all of us will be governed by "Force Majeure" clauses and/or "Art of Frustration" conditions to resolve such issues. Both suppliers and buyers will have to be understanding, compromising and patient to ensure that each party can receive and/or provide the service that was advertised under these set circumstances!
