Competing in the highly competitive Super Elite division, the Red Cheetahs delivered an outstanding tournament performance, finishing undefeated with group stage victories over Alliance FC Mustangs (2-1) and Glen Shields Juventus (4-2), along with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Coquitlam Metro Ford Chelsea from British Columbia. Finally, the girls were crowned champions after a dominant win against Niagara FC OPDL (3-0) in the championship final.
The championship match was highlighted by an incredible attacking display from Aaliyah Milne, who scored twice in the final, while Ayla Hanna added another goal to secure the title. Goalkeeper Ava Ghandour anchored the team defensively with a clean sheet performance in the final.
The team was led by Head Coach Kayla De Souza, Assistant Coaches Emil Calixteiro and Jordan De Souza, and Manager Hillary Adams.
The Black Cheetahs also put together a remarkable run in the Super Platinum division, earning victories against FC Durham (4-1), Burlington Bayhawks (2-0), and Power FC (1-0) in the group stage.
In a thrilling championship final against Niagara United Juventus, the Black Cheetahs showed tremendous resilience, battling back from a 2-0 deficit before ultimately winning in penalty kicks 3-2 after a dramatic 2-2 draw. The comeback effort with just 10 minutes remaining showcased the team’s determination, character, and belief.
The Black Cheetahs were guided by Head Coach Kayla De Souza, Assistant Coach Jordan De Souza, and Manager Tara Schmidt.
