Advanced Development Program towards competitive All-Star/Rep Soccer
All-Star/Rep Program:
We often refer to this as the Advanced Development Program. It's meant for the players who aspire to play competitive soccer at the All-Star/Rep level.
What's different between Basic and Advanced Development Program offered throughout the year?
Basic Development is really for the beginner, a player who has not played much soccer and is just learning the game. It could be a lack of confidence with the ball, has not mastered the kick and/or even the formation of playing with other teammates.
Advanced/Academy Training is for players who we (Club) would classify as "above average House League players". These players are willing to chase the ball without encouragement, they already have a sense for the game, they know how to pass or shoot the ball, are most often athletic etc. It's important that parents are just as committed since there are time 1-2 practices/week along with games and a greater financial commitment. Participation cost is a little higher since they practice more often and there is much more involved in the way of coaching and management of the team.
The goal of the program is to give each player a solid foundation of soccer skills, to help each player gain knowledge of the game and to balance the desire to win with the goal of ensuring that all players are given the opportunity to play and contribute.
All-Star/Advance/Academy Participation Cost:
All-Star/REP Combo Package Game & Practice at $995/player from September 2105 to April 2016
All-Star/REP 1 Game or 1 Practice Only at $595/player from September 2015 to April 2016
Games on Monday for 4-9 year olds, Wednesday 10-13 year olds & Friday 14+ year olds
Practices on Saturday (10Am -11Am) for U6 to U9 (2010 to 2007) and (12Nn or 1Pm) for U10 to U18 (2006 to 1998) or alternative options selected by team and/or coach/manager
Players must be registered at least one full priced program ($495/player) House League and/or Advanced Development Program!
All-Star Programming (start at Under 6 2010):
Our competitive programming starts at the age of 2010 along with 2009 and 2008's where we identify boys/girls that can start to train together. They will eventually form 1-3 boys/girls teams and look to enter a competitive U8 Festival Format in the future. Players would play on respective Winter House League teams, but would come together to train on either Saturday (11Am -12Nn) or Sunday (3-4Pm or 4-5Pm). Parents can choose 1 or a combo package of games/practice!
Players born 2007 will be considered U9 All-Stars over the Winter 2015-2016 season. Club is actively looking for players who can play at a competive level so as to take part in a competitive MP Stadium Development League alongside 2006 players. 4 to 6 equally balanced teams will be created to play on Monday night 6:15-7:15Pm and/or 7:15-8:15Pm along with some friendly games against other Clubs. Over the Winter the Club will prepare players and find representative coaches to form 1-3 teams made up of only 2007 players to participate in U8 Festival Format over the 2015 Summer. All U8 Festivals are organized on a Saturday from 8Am-1Pm. Practices will be offered on Saturday (9Am or 10Am) or Sunday (3-4Pm or 4-5Pm) with a combo package of games/practice!
REP Programming (Under 9 2007 +):
Once players reach the U9 age group (2007), players will be selected to participate on 1-2 Rep teams to participate in a formal competitive league with games played during the week throughout the summer. Although, we have been unable to find other competitive teams from other clubs like Leaside, Olympic Flame, N Toronto, Mooredale, Clairlea ... willing to partake in our MP Stadium Development League. We are therefore creating our own competitive league and are going to select and create 4-6 equally balanced teams made up of players born 2006, 2007 and possibly a few 2008 players who will play/train together and against each other on Mondays. We are sure that in due course, we will be contacted by alternative clubs to arrange the occasional friendly. Practices will be offered on Saturday (9Am or 10Am) or Sunday (3-4Pm or 4-5Pm) with a combo package of games/practice!
Over the past 6 years, the Club's All-Star/Rep program has grown dramatically so that we now have teams from U8 all the way up to U17. Rep soccer is the Club's traveling competitive program where teams and players play against other soccer clubs.

At this level of competition, success and fun do not come without some extra effort. The will to win is not enough, the player must also have the will to prepare to win. Games and practices are scheduled more frequently than the recreational House League program. For the good of the player and the team, players are expected to attend practice, to practice properly and to do all of the other things which are necessary if he/she is to become a skilled soccer player and a contributing part of an All-Star/Competitive soccer team. A Rep surcharge covers the additional cost associated with this program. Coaches are certified and pre-screened by the Club.
Rep Soccer is aimed for players who are serious about the sport at a competitive level, the idea is to offer players of greater technical ability the opportunity to compete against similar players. Our rep teams are run and coached by some highly motivated, skilled and knowledgeable volunteer and paid coaches.
Cherry Beach Soccer Club has grown rapidly in the last few years, and now is in the fortunate position to have 15 competitive teams of all ages, and are looking to expand further, in particular on the girls side of the game.
